| HEDI SLIMANE'S project documenting the emergence of the cult of PETE DOHERTY is finally published by Steidl on 16th September. Slimane, not immune to cult status himself at Dior, continues his Stage project started four years ago. Arguably the first book which intimately lays the cult bare, from the inside of Doherty’s bedroom to explosive stage performances and riotous fans. With Slimane’s photographs comes a booklet containing pages from Doherty’s diary. | |||||
In addition to Slimane’s new book, other fashion/art titles available instore include MARTIN PARR'S Fashion Magazine, the first ten years of New York’s seminal ALLEGED GALLERY chronicled in Young, Sleek and Full of Hell by MARK GONZALES, KIM GORDON and THURSTON MOORE among others, artist GRAHAM DOLPHIN'S disruption of the glamour industry in Everything in Vogue and TERRY RICHARDSON'S self-proclaimed special book Kibosh.

From Berut’s ersatz art scene to Iranian porn, Bidoun is defiantly progressive. Other new titles this month include VOXER, SLEEK, FASHIONARTLEISURE, SAKEN, BABY BABY BABY, and WAD. | |||||
